Experimental Study on Compressive Strength of Belian Wood Strengthened with Concrete Jacketing

Belian wood is very well known building construction material and been used since long time ago for both structural non-structural elements. Somehow belian buildings which have being exist many years or some functional changes in use need strengthening. One of the most popular strengthening method concrete jacketing as it practical mechanically increase capacity existing structures. This research conducted order to experimentally study on strengthened with effectiveness shear connector used.This 15cmx30cm cylinder samples 8cmx8cm core. There were five variations connectors used. First variation (S1) without connector, second (S2) sieve wiring coil, third (S3) 6mm diameter reinforcement fourth (S4) safety fifth (S5) 2 inches nails. 10 each variation. All tested compared compressive strength conventional It results coil come out highest among all 75.909% whereas first resulting after collapse 25.493% showed importance between those different materials.
